IPTV SYSTEM FOR OFFERING IN ABSENTIA AND METHOD FOR OFFERING IN ABSENTIA

An IPTV system for offering in absentia and a method for offering in absentia are provided to set a subscribers terminal into an absentia state using a head end system, and an absentia informing system. A data broadcast system produces a portal interface including the information about the absent subscriber service. The return path server system(220) is connected to the IPTV subscriber terminal and return channel through the IP network. The return path server system receives the authentication request message for the service generated from the IPTV subscriber terminal through the IP network. The return path server system stores the log information and beginning/ending time information of 'the subscriber taking advantage of the absent subscriber service. The personalization certificate server(225) receives the authentication request message from the return path server system. The authentication KEY is produced as the response about the authentication request message. The absentia subscriber service system(500) provides the absentia subscriber service to the IPTV subscriber terminal.
