Personal protection system to provide a sterile barrier around the medical / operator. The system includes a head unit carrying a hood or toga. Inside the head unit there is a ventilation fan, a light for illuminating the surgical area, and a communication system for communication with each other. The head unit includes a head band. The ventilation fan is adjustablely mounted to the headband such that it is positioned in a position that minimizes strain on the wearer.
