PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier.SOLUTION: The personal protection system includes a head unit 270 that is worn by covering a wearer's head, a hood arranged by covering the head unit, and a tightening assembly 296 having a plurality of spaced tightening members 296 engaged with the hood. The tightening assembly has a curvature radius vertically changing along the face shield configured such that a face shield has a comparatively large curvature radius on the upper part of the face shield, when the hood is arranged by covering the head unit, and the face shield has a smaller curvature radius at the position adjacent to a lower part of the face shield. The personal protection system also has a fan integrated with the head unit and for sucking air into the hood.
