The present invention relates to a system and method for controlling the dimming of an LED tunnel light that may control the luminance of the inside of a tunnel by making the tunnel respond to a change in outside luminance. The system for controlling the dimming of the LED tunnel light according to the present invention is connected to a luminance sensor and an LED tunnel light and controls the illumination of the LED tunnel light according to a current outside luminance value sensed by the luminance sensor.
