An apparatus and a method for estimating the generation of construction wastes during new construction and demolition work. The apparatus for estimating the generation of construction wastes includes: an input unit which receives basic information on a building where the generation of construction wastes is to be estimated, changes in construction, and construction waste information actually generated during the construction; a display unit which displays information including an estimation result screen; a storage unit which stores at least one among basic data (a source unit for each type of new construction/demolition work use structure waste, and a generation pattern, special conditions, and a disposal price for each construction waste type according to a process rate), a process rate table, a construction waste disposal (change) plan form, a construction waste management register, and a construction waste discharge and disposal performance report form; and an arithmetic processing unit which calculates the generation of construction wastes, and disposal costs thereof, according to processes and construction waste types, with reference to the basic data (a source unit for each type of new construction/demolition work use structure waste, and a generation pattern, special conditions, and a disposal price for each construction waste type according to a process rate) stored in the storage unit (140), according to new construction/demolition work, a use, a structure, a total floor area, and special conditions that are the basic information of the building inputted to the input unit, and displays the calculation results on the display unit (130). According to the present invention, a waste reduction and recycling rate can be improved by quantitatively estimating and managing the generation of construction wastes.
