The present invention relates to a high speed extrusion method for a magnesium alloy and a magnesium alloy extruded material manufactured thereby. The method comprises a step of preparing a magnesium alloy billet composed of 6.5-7.5 wt% of tin (Sn), 0.1-1.5 wt% of zinc (Zn), 0.2-2 wt% of aluminum (Al), and the rest of magnesium (Mg); a step of performing the homogenization heat-treatment of the magnesium alloy billet; and a step of extruding the homogenization heat-treated magnesium alloy billet under an extrusion condition having 350-500C of an extrusion temperature and 10-14 m/min of an output speed. According to the present invention, the high speed extrusion method for a magnesium alloy can increase the extrudability of the magnesium alloy enough for the production of the healthy magnesium alloy extruded material in which hot cracks are not occurred on the surface under the extrusion condition having 350-500C of the high temperature and 10-14 m/min of the high speed. Thus, the high speed extrusion method for a magnesium alloy according to the present invention can increase productivity through high speed extrusion which is impossible in an existing commercial magnesium alloy, such as an AZ80 alloy or a ZK60 alloy; thereby being used for the mass production of the magnesium alloy extruded material.
