The present invention is 7.0 to 10.0% by weight of aluminum (Al); 0.1 to 1.5% by weight of zinc (Zn); 0.05 to 1.0% by weight of calcium (Ca); 0.05 to 1.0% by weight of yttrium (Y); 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of misch metal; Magnesium (Mg) balance; and unavoidable impurities. The magnesium alloy for extrusion according to the present invention is an Mg-Al-based magnesium alloy containing 7 wt% or more of high aluminum (Al) having low extrudability as a disadvantage. As it has a composition in which a small amount of micrometal is additionally added, valences such as cesium (Ce) and lanthanum (La) obtained by decomposition of the micrometal are dissolved into a thermally unstable secondary phase such as Mg 17 Al 12 and thermal stability of the secondary phase By increasing , the extrudability of the magnesium alloy is significantly improved.
