A Method for Identifying Radish Varieties using Microsatellites Markers

The present invention relates to a method for identifying radish varieties using a microsatellite marker for identifying radish varieties, with polymorphisms for the variety of radishes which are domestically distributed; and a kit containing the microsatellite marker. Specifically, a combination of microsatellite markers with high polymorphism for 78 varieties of radishes distributed domestically or overseas is selected and the radish varieties which are domestically distributed are identified using the combination. A molecular marker for identifying radish varieties used for the method is able to identify 78 varieties of radishes grown domestically and test the purity of F1 seeds because of a marker with heterozygosis which identifies parents of all varieties. Accordingly, the present invention provides an arbitration tool which is able to resolve problems when seed conflict occurs between a farm house and a seed company or seed companies, thereby identifying the authenticity of radish varieties distributed in the market, selecting comparative varieties when a variety is protected and applied, monitoring infringement of rights, and identifying the purity of F1 seeds.
