Wastewater treatment method by cultivating microalgae using light-stress

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cultivating microalgae by irradiating light-stress to the microalgae from a constant light-source. More particularly, the present invention can provide growth promoting effects by inducing light-stress to the microalgae according to regularly supplying and controlling light needed for growth of the microalgae. Microalgae capable of being cultured can be applied to various microalgae, including C. vulgaris, and plants. The present invention comprises: a light source unit for irradiating light to a culturing contrainer; a power unit for supplying power to the light source unit; a flash control unit for controlling the power unit and for allowing the light source unit to regularly generate flash. Additionally, the method and the apparatus for cultivating microalgae can increase growth of the microalgae, and, at the same time, can be applied to waste water treatment by removing nitrogen and phosphorus within waste water during cultivation using the waste water, as well as to industries capable of producing lipid and other useful materials produced by the microalgae.
