The present invention relates to Cu_2 dinuclear units which are connected by glutaric acid and bipyridine ligand, more specifically, to Cu-MOF compounds including Cu_2 dinuclear units of {Cu_2(Glu)_2(-bpa)}(CH_2CN)] or [{Cu_2(Glu)_2(-bpp)}(C_3H_6O)]. The Cu-MOF compounds of the present invention represent selective adsorption for CO_2 so that the compounds can be used as CO_2 absorbent and a catalyst for heterogeneous trans-esterification reaction which can be effective and easy to reuse in a heterogeneous trans-esterification reaction.
