Devices for drainage of intraocular fluid in glaucoma

A device (drainage) for the drainage of intraocular fluid in glaucoma. The material from which it is made (leucosapphire), is inert to the eye, and does not cause postoperative inflammatory responses and rejection reactions. The main feature of the device is its shape. The product is a tube sizes 0.7 × 0.7 × 2.6 mm. The vertex has a bevel angle of 45 degrees. The base size of 0.9 × 0.9 mm, the expansion and on the top side also has a bevel angle of 45 degrees. The diameter of the lumen of the device is 300 microns. From the top the device lumen over 200 microns has a diameter of 100 microns. Changing the shape of the supporting part allows more reliably fix the device under the scleral flap, which greatly reduces the possibility of dislocation. Reducing the diameter of the inner lumen of the device directly at the tip reduces the risk of postoperative hypotension and hyperfiltration.
