FIELD: food industry.;SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a chewing gum production method. The method envisages chewing gum composition treatment to produce multiple kernels. The said chewing gum includes a kernel made of at least one gum base and at least one sweetener. Water in liquid condition is sprayed in an amount of 0.1% - 20% of the kernel weight for moistening the external surface of each kernel. Then one applies at least one coating substance (in the form of particles with average size being 100 mcm - 700 mcm) onto the moistened external surface of each kernel. The coating substance is chosen from sugars, polyols and their combinations.;EFFECT: invention allows to produce chewing gum with a coating layer produced by way of a particulated coating substance application onto the kernel without usage of syrup as an adhesion agent and reduce the process duration.;14 cl, 3 dwg, 4 tbl, 3 ex
