FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: blood serum of the younger patient suffering chronic prostatitis is examined for total testosterone, sex hormone-binding globulin to calculate a free testosterone index; high-density lipoproteins and triacylglycerides are determined, and an atherogenic index is calculated by formula.
