METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF ATLANTOAXIAL INJURIES

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: posterior C1 and C2 vertebra structures are skeletonised. Translaminar screws are inserted into the lateral atlas through an arch of the atlas in the ventral direction. An atlantoaxial membrane is stripped from a C2 vertebra arch and displaced upwards together with the C1-C2 inter-arch tissues. A joint capsule is exposed. A hyaline cartilage is removed from joint surfaces of lateral joints of the C1-C2 vertebras. An autograft is inserted into the joint cavity, and a fusion of the C1-C2 vertebras is formed. A C2 vertebra leg and a screw insertion point are visualised, and the transpedicular screws are inserted into the C2 vertebral body.;EFFECT: method enables preventing a venous plexus and root injuries and a developing pain syndrome.;1 ex
