FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: composition of pendimethalin capsule suspension includes herbicidally efficient quantity of microencapsulated pendimethalin. Microcapsules, including said herbicidally efficient quantity of pendimethalin, are encapsulated I, capsule polymer wall. Said polymer wall is formed in situ by reaction of inter-phase polymerisation, taking place between organic liquid phase dispersed in water liquid phase. One of said organic and water liquid phases is characterised by the fact that it includes at least one salt of organic acid and alkali or alkali earth metal. Said organic acid is selected from acetic acid, propionic acid, citric acid, fumaric acid, tartaric acid, oxalic acid, succinic acid, valeric acid, malonic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid and phthalic acid. Said polymer wall is formed by reaction of inter-phase polymerisation, initiated by contact of first wall-forming component with second wall-forming component. Said first wall-forming component is selected from polyisocyanate, acid polychloroanhydride, polychloroformiate and polysulfonyl chloride, said second wall-forming component is selected from poluamine and polyol. Water solution, including at least one surface-active substance and preliminarily determined quantity of at least one salt of organic acid and alkali or alkali earth metal, is formed. Said organic acid is selected from acetic acid, propionic acid, citric acid, fumaric acid, tartaric acid, oxalic acid succinic acid, valeric acid, malonic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid and phthalic acid. Organic phase is formed by melting herbicidally efficient quantity of active ingredient pendimethalin and addition of preliminarily determined quantity of polyisocyanate wall-forming component. Said organic phase is dispersed in said water solutuion to obtain emulsion with formation of separation surface between discrete drops of organic phase and water phase. Emulsification is carried out for sufficient period of time to complete reaction of polyisocyanate self-polymerisation in such a way that said drops of liquid in organic phase convert into capsules, which include envelopes of polyurea, enclosing active pendimethalin ingredient. Composition is applied for controlling undesirable species of plants.EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain composition with absence of colouration and reduced phytotoxicity.22 cl, 3 ex, 5 tbl, 7 dwg
