A method for testing of the bogie of a rail vehicle on a test stand, in which the pivotable truck or bogie is subjected to an operating load and the vertical forces wheel mounting devices of the test bench to be measured, comprising the steps of:– Centering of the bogie on the test stand,– Generating a operating load, in that the pivotable truck or bogie by means of force generators is subjected to a vertical force,characterised in that, on the wheel mounting devices (4) and / or to the force generators (5) a horizontal force component is measured and the truck during the generating of the operational load on the test stand is displaced, in order to reduce the horizontal force component.
