The invention relates to a method for directional bearing according to the monopulse principle with a radar antenna group from a plurality of receiving elements, whose phase position is adjustable individually, whereby the individual receiving elements of the antenna array in a plurality of (n) horizontal rows (z1, z2, .. Zn) are arranged, with the following process steps:– Formation of sum and difference channels (sΔ, SΣ) from the signals of the individual receiving elements,– Formation of the monopulse ratio (r) from the sum and difference channels (sΔ, SΣ),– Determination of the angular deviation of the target from the antenna boresight in the horizontal direction by comparison of the monopulse ratio (r) with the derived from the characteristics of the antenna of the array antenna monopulse curve,wherein– the phase positions of the individual antenna elements be adjusted in such a way that for each line a in an alternating manner with respect to the antenna boresight according to the left or to the right, and in that the receiving direction, it is pivoted for each line of the received signals are combined, and that– the collecting channel (sΣ) of the monopulse processing by the combination of the signals of all the lines of the antenna array is generated, wherein the signals of the left or right pivoted lines with the same sign, and that undergo– the difference channel (sΔ) of the monopulse processing by the combination of the signals of all the lines of the antenna array is generated, wherein the signals of the left or right pivoted lines with opposite signs.
