The motor (10) has base boards (12) with top faces (12a) and undersides (12b). A stator assembly (38) includes several stator windings (42) secured on top face of base board and provided with a winding wire (44). A rotor (14) is rotatably supported relative to the base board around a rotational axis (16). The circuit boards (52) are respectively arranged at underside and top face of the base board such that the contact surfaces (54) of circuit board electrically connected with free end of the winding wire are formed on top face (52a) and underside (52b) of circuit board. An independent claim is included for hard disk drive.
