The suspension has a piston rod arranged between an undercarriage (14) and a wheel unit (30). A longitudinal center axis of a hydraulic cylinder is formed when driving a rotational axis of the wheel unit. A cylinder tube is arranged around the longitudinal center axis and immovably attached at the undercarriage. A steering unit (32) is engaged at the cylinder tube and a torque-proof component of the suspension. The cylinder tube and the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder are torque-proof connected with one another. An independent claim is also included for a heavy load transport vehicle.
