The geometrically deformable guiding device has a planar dielectric elastomeric actuator (1) with an upper side (1a) and a lower side (1b), while the layer thickness (1c) is extended in the z-direction. The length of the elastomeric actuator is changed by applying an electric voltage in the x-direction. An element is provided for exerting a temporary- or permanent restoring force with an x-component or z-component of the dielectric elastomeric actuator. A curvature of the guiding device around the y-direction is formed on changing the length of the elastomeric actuator. An independent claim is included for a method for directing the fluid streams with a geometrically deformable guiding device.
