The brake (BR) has electromagnets arranged behind one another in a brake housing (1) of the brake and provided with armature disks along a central axis (A). The armature disks run parallel to the central axis of the brake, and stand in an operative connection to each other, so that the armature disks provide additional force to a total force. The additional force is caused by the electromagnets on the armature disks, and the total force acts against a force of spring elements, so that the brake is transferred into an operational position.
