The pedal lever (2) is formed with two profile flanges (4b,4c) by forming a circuit board to a profile (4) that is opened in cross-section in a sectional manner, where the former profile flange of the open profile connects a connecting strap (7,7') at a free longitudinal edge (6). The connecting strap is bent to the latter profile flange and is formed directly or indirectly with the latter profile flange by a free end section. The open profile has a partially closed hollow-profile cross-section. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a pedal lever.
