The edge construction (10) has an edge profile (16) extending along a frame profile (14) and whose cross-section has different flange portions, such as a flange (20) which is flanged to the frame profile and another flange (22) which is anchored in or at the wall (12). A sealing (46) rests between the former flange and the frame profile. The former flange extends partially over a groove (38) provided in the frame profile. The sealing rests in the groove and is held in the groove through the former flange.
