The folding-top (1) has a top cloth (3) supported at a folding-top frame (4). The folding-top cloth is adjustable between closing position and open position of a vehicle (2). Motor car inner-side bracing cables (9-11) are connected with roof bows (5, 6) or lateral roof frame (8) of the folding-top frame. A retainer is arranged in one-piece substance pockets (14). The bracing cables are stressed in the substance pockets such that the folding-top cloth holds against blowing up. The substance pockets are integrated into the folding-top cloth.
