The system has a condenser (6) coupled to a temperable compartment (1) i.e. cooling compartment, when a tempering apparatus (7) is a heating apparatus. A vaporizer (2) is coupled at a thermal storage unit (5). A temperature regulating valve (10) is controlled by a temperature sensor (11) and introduced between the vaporizer and the condenser. The valve regulates streams of a liquid medium between the vaporizer and the condenser. The sensor is in thermal contact either with the compartment or with the storage unit, where the system is used as an overload protection system for the storage unit.
