The steering device has a steering pinion (10) and a steering spindle (20) that is connected with the steering pinion over a torsion bar (30), where the shaft stubs (11,21) are arranged opposite to one another with their front sides. The stop elements are formed as coupling elements that have two grooves (12) and two pins (22). The coupling elements are interlocked into one another and are extended in axial direction of the torsion bar.
