The method involves arranging a light module (22) in a housing (11). Light from the light module is transmitted to a light guidance rod (10). An assembly component is pre-mounted. The light guidance rod is held by a holder. The assembly component is placed in an illumination device (1). A turned end of the light guidance rod is fixed with a far end of the light module. A cover shell is provided in the light guidance rod. A clasp element is arranged between the holder and the cover shell. An independent claim is also included for a component for assembling an arrangement of a light guidance rod in an illumination device.
