The rear side-mounted warning light is attached inside of a luggage compartment cover of a passenger car as an auxiliary warning light (2). The auxiliary warning light is electrically connected with the power supply (12) of the passenger car. A control switch (3) is arranged between the power supply and the auxiliary warning light. The control switch is also mounted inside the rear luggage compartment cover of the passenger car. The control switch is arranged adjacent to the auxiliary warning light.
