The method involves determination of length of a stage of a position of a motor vehicle (105) to an intermediate destination place. Length of another stage of the intermediate destination place to a final destination place is determined. A cruising range of the motor vehicle is determined based on a level of an energy storage unit (130). An analog representation of the range compared with interlinked lengths of the stages is provided. The intermediate destination places and the stages lying between the intermediate destination places are determined. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program product comprising a program code for executing a method for visualization of a cruising range of a motor vehicle (2) a device for visualization of a cruising range of a motor vehicle.
