The device (1) has a holding frame (11) holding an object. A U-shaped guide frame is attached at the holding frame for stretching a cutting wire (13) transverse to a cutting direction and guiding the stretched wire in the cutting direction. An actuator i.e. hand griper (14), moves the stressed wire in cutting direction and comprises rope or belt- or chain-pulling mechanism that is guided at or in the guide frame for guide carriages to be displaced in or at the guide device. The guide carriages include a fastening point for the wire to be stretched.
