Electrical supported bicycle, has propulsion system operated in engine mode or generator mode to adapt actual power to desired power based on determining difference between desired power and detected actual power
The bicycle has a control device i.e. smartphone, for controlling a propulsion system and a recording device for recording actual performance of the propulsion system. The control device comprises a memory with competition track profiles and associated target performance. The control device determines difference between desired power and detected actual power when driving is performed on the competition track profile. The propulsion system is operated in an engine mode or generator mode to adapt the actual power to the desired power based on the determined difference. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an electrical supported bicycle.
