The two-wire cable (1) has a first wire (2) with a first plug contact (6), a second wire (3) with a second plug contact (7), and a fixation element (8). The plug contacts are partly arranged in the fixation element in a first state, such that the relative orientation of the plug contacts is retained to each other. The fixation element is adapted for plugging together of the plug contacts with an assigned counter-element relative to the plug contacts in a direction opposite to a plug-in direction (14) of the plug contacts to move the plug contacts relative to each other. An independent claim is included for two-wire cable arrangement.
