The method involves performing an automatic wheel brake interference depending on the actuation of a brake pedal, if a recuperation (R) does not occur exceptionally in an operating condition in a motor vehicle (1) with a process for recuperation of energy. The wheel brake interference is executed by a brake control system (4) with the force which corresponds to the lack of negative driving braking force by the absence of the recuperation.
