The method involves controlling pyrotechnic device (3,3') connected to terminals (P1,P1'-Pn,Pn') of a control device (2). The ignition circuit (SK1-SKn) is connected between control unit and pyrotechnic unit in order to identify data transfer. The ignition circuit is assigned with terminals of the control unit, based on data which are previously stored in the control unit.
