The electronic device (1) has an electronic component (11) arranged in the housing (2) and producing heat during operation of the electronic device. A cooling component (9) is thermally connected to the electronic component to remove heat from the housing and provided with several rib-shaped cooling elements (15). The housing wall is provided with a recess (12) towards inner space (13) of the housing. The rib-shaped cooling elements are projected from bottom wall (14) out of the recess so that the cooling component limits side walls (16,19) in inner space of the housing.
