The device has a rotor structure (3) arranged at external periphery of the sleeve shaft. The sleeve shaft is cooperated with two centring flanges located on a rotor shaft (4) and centered opposite to the rotor shaft. The sleeve shaft is secured relative to the rotor structure and the centring flanges against rotation. The centring flanges are secured relative to the rotor shaft against rotation. An inner peripheral surface of the hollow shaft is cooperated with an outer peripheral surface of the centering flanges for centering the hollow shaft relative to the rotor shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting a rotor structure of a rotary current generator with a rotor shaft.
