The machine (1) has a housing (3) in which a stator (5) and a rotor (7) are arranged, where the rotor comprises a rotor shaft (9). A current guiding area (11) i.e. sensor area, forms a closed area together with the housing. The current guiding area enables heat exchange between inner air of the machine and the environment. The rotor shaft is designed as a hollow shaft, and connects an inner area of the housing with the current guiding area. A ventilation opening (17) is formed at the housing, where the current guiding area comprises a closing cover (19) with cooling fins (21). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a closed electric machine.
