The cover (11) has two layers (12, 13), and particles (14) acting on electromagnetic waves in a damping manner and embedded into one of the layers. The particles are formed from carbon or contain carbon. The layer is made from plastic and designed as a bumper substrate (2). Another layer forms a painting layer on the former layer, and arranged on a side of the former layer, where the side is turned towards an antenna and/or turned away from the antenna. The particles are added to layer material for forming the former layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an antenna cover.
