The system (1) has a linearly extendable roll-over protection device (2) and an actuator (3) that is provided to transfer roll-over protection device from quiescent state to activated state. The actuator is provided with a pusher (4). The pusher is extended in pulsed manner out of the actuator in sections and accelerates the roll-over protection device so that the pusher occupies extended position. The actuator is formed as pyrotechnic actuator. The pusher is in positive contact to the bottom (7) of roll-over protection device.
