Nutrient concentrate comprises (a) water and (b) a fat-protein composition comprising (i) polyunsaturated omega -3 fatty acid, (ii) a polyunsaturated omega -6 fatty acid and (iii) protein. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the nutrient concentrate, comprising providing water, adding protein and an oil mixture containing the polyunsaturated omega -3 fatty acid and polyunsaturated omega -6 fatty acid, mixing the water, the oil blend and the protein to the nutrient concentrate, and cooling the nutrient concentrate; and (2) a nutritional beverage comprising the nutrient concentrate and water, where a mixing ratio of the volume fractions of the nutrient concentrate and water is 3-70.
