The method involves providing (S100) a blank of a base material for the inner ring and the outer ring of the sliding bearing. The blank is heat treated (S110) and looped (S120) to form sliding surfaces of the inner and outer rings in a primary stage. One of the sliding surface is cross-looped (S130) in the primary stage. The inner and outer rings are assembled (S150) to obtain the sliding bearing. A sealing is fitted (S170) at the sliding bearing in such a manner that the sealing seals an intermediate space between the sliding surfaces of the inner and outer rings at a or parallel to a front surface of the sliding bearing.
