It is a method for the determination of a start of an injector (11) of an internal combustion engine (1) with the following steps are proposed:– Time resolved detection of a single memory pressure curve (p) in a measuring interval;– Determining a test-injection commencement (ts) with the aid of the single memory pressure curve (p);– Determining a tendency of the single memory pressure curve (p) in a predetermined test interval (δi) before the test-injection beginning (ts);– Correcting the single memory pressure curve (p) in a function of the tendency, and– Determining a start on the basis of the corrected single memory pressure curve.
