Hydraulic damper comprising a movable part (8) which separates a compression chamber (12) from an expansion chamber (14), and a hydraulic end stop (20) placed at the bottom of the compression chamber, receiving the support of the end of this moving part (8) during a compression end of travel, characterized in that the limit stop (20) comprises a piston comprising radial bores, which receives the support of the moving part (8) at the end of the stroke, this piston sliding fitly in a stop body to gradually close the bores during its compression stroke, the piston receiving in a controlled manner a distributor which can take several mounting positions allowing to obstruct differently the holes of this piston.
