The device has a rope (3) towed by a ship (2), having density lower than density of liquid in which the rope evolves and arranged so as to float on a liquid surface. Fixing units i.e. hooks (5), are arranged in an underwater vehicle (1) such that the rope is hung on the vehicle when the vehicle intercepts with the rope floating on the liquid surface. The rope extends on both sides of the liquid surface. A reserve unit i.e. thrust (6), retains the fixing units on the rope when the vehicle is fixed on the rope to transform the vehicle into a towed body.
