The device has a heat exchanger (5) comprising a bypass circuit (9), where passage of intake air in the bypass circuit is controlled by opening or closing of a closure device (112a) of a bypass valve. Another heat exchanger (15) is provided with another bypass circuit (17) such that passage of exhaust gas in the latter bypass circuit is controlled by opening or closing of another closure device (112b) of the bypass valve. The closure devices of the bypass circuits are controlled by a common actuator (110).
