The frame (12) has seat sections (16a) articulated with leg sections (30) between a deployed configuration in which the seat sections extend in extension of leg sections and a folded configuration in order to limit encumbrance for a storage. Each seat section is equipped with a female articulation element and each leg section is equipped with a male articulation element or conversely. The elements are designed, so that the male articulation element is fit with and uncoupled from the female articulation element in the deployed and folded configuration, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a folding chair.
