In the claimed invention, subscriber S100 requests help S102 from customer support representative (CSR) S104. Admin node S112 issues credentials to the subscriber and CSR S114-118. The subscriber and CSR submit the credentials to a core node S120-126. If the core node authenticates the pair of credentials S128-130 a helpdesk session between the subscriber and CSR is established S132-134. The helpdesk session may utilise desktop sharing with Virtual Network Computing (VNC).
