PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression ignition internal combustion engine starting control system or the like capable of early starting of the compression ignition internal combustion engine even in the case that an intake temperature for the compression ignition internal combustion engine is low temperature when a compression ratio of the compression ignition internal combustion engine is low.;SOLUTION: At the starting time of a compression ignition internal combustion engine 10, the first cycle in starting a cranking operation opens an exhaust shutter 31 to absorb new gas A into a cylinder 15 through an intake valve 17a; the second cycle of the cranking operation up to fuel ignition closes the exhaust shutter 31 not to absorb new gas A, but re-absorb exhaust gas G into the cylinder through an exhaust valve 17b; the fuel ignition up to a rapid increasing of pressure in the cylinder opens the exhaust shutter 31, exhaust-second time-opening valve operation absorbs new gas A into the cylinder 15 through an intake valve 17a, and at the same time absorbs a part of the exhaust gas G into the cylinder 15 through the exhaust valve 17b; and after the cylinder pressure is increased, the operation is transferred to a normal operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
