PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make weaving possible even if monofilament yarn or metallic fiber is used as weft in an air-jet loom.SOLUTION: Weft insertion is performed in a state that a running accelerator 41 in which a surface area per unit weight is larger than that of weft Y is fitted to the tip of the weft Y with respect to the weft Y before weft insertion. The running accelerator 41 has a tape-like form. The running accelerator 41 is fitted to the tip of the weft Y by heat welding while surrounding the weft Y.
