PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for detecting a position deviation order for detecting assumed position deviation or an order of position deviation amount when position deviation is assumed to occur in an image for correction; a method for correcting position deviation of an image for accurately and effectively correcting position deviation of various sizes; a method for creating streak unevenness correction table for accurately and effectively creating a correction table by correcting the position deviation; and a method for correcting streak unevenness for accurately and effectively correcting streak unevenness occurring in the image by using the streak unevenness correction table.SOLUTION: In a method for detecting a position deviation order, a difference between input image data of an original image used for printing an image by an ink jet printer and output image data acquired by reading the image using a scanner is calculated for each pixel, the calculated difference is compared with a first threshold value to extract pixels for which the difference is equal to or greater than the threshold value, and the order of position deviation of the image is detected according to the number of pixels in a closed pixel group in the extracted pixels.
